Taking Orders
at Dracut House of Pizza and Seafood
DHOP uses Spot On POS for orders taken in store, and online orders.
Taking orders over the phone, we will be using their virtual terminal. It looks and acts exactly the same as in-store, except for a few things that don't show for us that we won't need. There are a few steps included for placing an order, but it is much quicker than what we've previously used once you get comfortable.
How to Place an Order

This will be the page you come to once you enter your POS code. You can return to it by selecting "menu". Here is a breakdown.

1. Begin An Order Selecting "New Order" will open a ticket. From there you will begin adding the desired items.
2. Quantity If someone is ordering more than one of the same item, with the same modifiers and sides (if any) you can select the quantity here. So for 3 large plain cheese pizzas, you would click 3, then cheese pizza, then large cheese pizza, then done.
3. Customer Info When you are finished with an order and have read it back, select customer info. You can search their name or the last four of their phone number to see if they're already there. If they are you will select their customer account and then "attach to order". If they're not there, you would select New Customer, and enter at least their first name and phone number, then attach to order. *Note: If they have a loyalty account, you would select loyalty first. Otherwise, you'd need to do "customer info" twice.
4. Loyalty At checkout you will ask "do you have a rewards account with us?". This is important because a rewards account cannot be attached to an order after it is closed. We will be asking every time. If they do not have one you can offer to create one for them, it requires their name and a phone number or email. First and last name both is best. If they do believe they have one, search their last name first, then first name if you can't find it. If it is there, select it and attach to current order. If they do not, but think they have one, create one for them, attach to current order. If they do not want one, skip this entirely.
